(Photo by Alison Rasmussen of The Fashion Doll Review)
The girl on the above cover is the 3rd Steffie I was commissioned to re-root.
She started life as a Miss America Blonde Quick Curl, and looked something like this...
Alison wanted her to be re-rooted in Cotton Candy Pink Saran with ponytails.
(I purchased her hair from Restoredoll.com)
As you can see from the factory holes, this vintage beauty was no joke to alter.
So I started by giving her an outer line of plugs fit for a modern doll.
Once I had her hair filled in evenly on each side, I started on the LONGEST part I have ever done.
It was made more difficult due to her thick vinyl.
But it was completely worth it.
(^_^)
As you can see from the above photo, there are two tight lines of hair on each side of the future part.
This is something I do with lighter hair colors.
It cuts down on transparency, and gives the doll better coverage.
Here she is almost finished...
This doll was such a special project because I learned SO much.
I want to thank Alison again for such a great experience!

This will be the 2nd time one of my custom gals will be featured in one of Alison's books.
The above Steffie appears in Alison's first book, Steffie: Out of the Box, which you can purchase here.
As soon as I know when and where the 2nd installment can be purchased I will blog it.
(^_^)
Oh, and not only will the Miss America Steffie be in the 2nd book, but so will these gals...
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!!
Each of you give me hope and keep a smile on my face!!
Sending love to you and yours..
