Happy Birthday Mamaw... (non-doll) post

Today would have been my Mamaw's 73rd birthday.
She died at a time when she was not expected to.
It was the day before her 71st birthday that we lost her.
I miss her so much.
She was always more of a parent than a grandparent.
I pray that she is smiling and dancing whereever her soul is now.
I pray that she will be there waiting when I too must shed this mortal coil.

I love you dearly Mamaw.
You are eternally with me. <3

-Your "blue eyed baby girl"

May we all find smiles today. *Big Hugs* to each of you.

  1. Aww, I'm sorry. It's always the worst when you loose someone unexpectedly.
Granted, it's bad losing someone whenever, but I've always had an easier time of it when it was something I could brace for.

    1. Thank you Heather. In truth, I have never had a chance to "brace" for death. I speculate that it might be easier if you can prepare, but either way a loss is a loss.

  4. I think that someone dear to us dies does not dies completely but stil continues to live within us, in our hearts, in our minds and in our daily actions. Don't be sad. *bear hugs*

  7. I'm so sorry I'm so late in reading your blog, but I've got a lot of catching up to do since I've been sick!

Anyway, I'm so so sorry about your sad heart yearning for your Mamaw. I, too, cherished my grandmother who has been in heaven since I was 17, 31 years ago. To this day there is not a day that I don't think of her and wish she could see me and my family. Cat, they're both up there being our guardian angels and they see and know everything our hearts can tell them. I think of my grandmother as a messenger to God sometimes and pray through her to ask for guidance.

I am happy that you have someone so special in your life to think about and to have as a role model. I wish her a belated Happy Birthday.

    Hugs,
    Susan
