Tokidoki Barbie Inspiration Revisited ^_^

(She was a 2015 Asian Fashionista Barbie doll before her re-root. )

So, with all the craziness surrounding the latest Tokidoki Barbie release,
I decided to make my own version for fun.
I cannot explain why, but when I re-root using fantasy colors the re-root seems less monotonous.
This doll was no exception.
(^_^)

She received a partial re-paint and a full re-root in 3 saran colors.

Styling her was relatively easy, because I had just purchased this cute
Tokidoki top by the talented Yvonne AtTinyLiving
^_^
She still has some really adorable items in stock!

Stripped bare and showing off her hair! O.O
Here you can see the blue on one side, pale yellow on the other, with streaks of light pink throughout.

The dreaded part. I think the part took longer to complete than the entire re-root.
Working with light hair colors requires a lot more attention to coverage and detail.
Yay for extra work!
Wait, no. ;)

She also got a mani to match the new hair .

And at long last, the close up.
I urge you to enlarge this picture to see the detail.
She has apricot and blue eye shadow on, and a lighter lip color.
Yet another doll I am sad to see go.
But she'll have a lovely new home, and I bought a second one of these to customize in different colors for my own collection.

I am so behind on blog posts but I am trying to catch up.
I have at least 4 more planned and started that you should see within the next couple of weeks.
I'm really back this time!
I've missed ALL OF YOU!!!

<3

Have a totally amazing weekend!

An update and a special THANK YOU to Ms.Leo and Introducing Ella....

I haven't updated this in a few days, and that is because I have been hard at work on Episode 1. It isn't perfect, but we all get better with time. So within a few days the VERY FIRST episode of my Doll Drama will Premiere right here on The Doll Affinity blog. I would like to thank MS.LEO for her generosity in referring so many lovely individuals to my blog!! I went from 2 followers to 8 in a couple of days. It is a blessing to share my doll world with all of you and I always encourage each of you to share as much of your own dolly world with me.

Thank you all for the awesome support!!

In between takes I did a re-root of a Vitamin C Barbie Doll. She will be sold, probably on eBay, within a week. If any of you are interested just let me know. I will be selling her for $45.00-$50.00, and the dress and some shoes will come with her. I don't like selling my ooak girls nude. :)\

Set Design is a fun(ny) thing. :)

I have been working on set design for my upcoming doll drama.
So exciting!
Below you will find a bedroom and a living room.
More is in the works...
*Stay tuned!*

Aria and Roxy modeling, and possibly gossiping about the new doll drama. *Tisk* *Tisk*
Aria is rocking her new hair cut. Roxy is rocking her new straight hair (today she got a new body).
Plus....one of my stars for the doll drama is getting camera ready, her name is Sienna.

Past Creations of mine, now "sold".

"Mya"

*Sold*

A OOAK Re-root/partial re-paint wearing a handmade ensemble.

The above creation was re-rooted using professional grade Kanekalon hair.
The last picture was included to showcase the black underneath all of that cinnamon red.
She was formerly a Shakira Barbie with the ever stunning Lea face. :)
I made her a completely lined outfit, as I am not a big fan of selling my OOAK dolls nude.
Her face was partially enhanced. Doing a full facial re-paint sounds terrifying. Maybe one of these days. lol

"Vintage Sewing Fun"

*Sold*

Using a pattern I tried my hand at sewing a lined vintage dress for Barbie.
It was a neat learning experience. :)

"Into the Garden of Midnight-A OOAK Ensemble"

*Sold*

This was my first attempt at sewing specifically for the larger busted Fashion Royalty Dolls.
I love the colors and had a lot of fun with this one. The dress and the purse were fully lined. All the little accessories were fun to make as well. Tedious, but fun. :)

Those are some of my most recent sold projects.
I have much more in the works.

Here comes "Aylah"...

"Aylah"
A OOAK Re-root wearing a handmade outfit.

She will be sold on ebay this coming week.
I will post a link to the listing here for those of you interested. :)
She has been re-rooted using Katsilk Saran Hair. It is hard to see, but her hair is actually
two tones blended (cupcake pink and blonde). It is subtle but if you look closely you will see the pinkish hue.
I love working with Lea and Kayla face molds. So pretty.
It gets hard to part with my creations, but I can't possibly keep all of the dolls I re-do.
Just finished her up this evening and wanted to share.

Have a MARVELOUS evening!
