A Barbie Dream come True!! :D and re-root service...

As promised the big surprise I mentioned in my last blog....
I have coveted the Barbie A Frame Dream House FOREVER! I found it on Craigslist (which I never check) for only $45. It has most of the flowers, and from what I can tell I am missing 2 doors and 2 small windows. Otherwise it looks to be in superb condition, just needs a little elbow grease. I was so excited I didn't even make my bed before taking the picture, so please do excuse the mess. lol

And on another note I have 2 spots available for commissioned re-roots.
Contact me at crushed.velvet.orchid5@gmail.com for details.

I will be basing my cost on the type of doll being re-rooted, the hair requested, and the work that would be involved. At this time I will only be offering my services in the United States. As time goes on I may expand. This is a test run. I have completed 1 commissioned request so far. However I have sold 6 to very happy customers in total, and I have kept a few for my own collection.
I generally work with Barbie, but wouldn't mind trying my hand at Silkstone, and Vintage dolls. I also have done Ken, and Kelly/Tommy sized dolls.
Just let me know what you want done and we'll talk it over. :)

Thank you for reading and watching!!

  1. Wow, congrats! I remember wanting one when I was a kid...the price I think was around $200 and of course my mom was like..."You'd better get a job." LOL...I ended up with the Barbie Townhouse but I still love this one more.

This is going to be such a cool addition to your stories.

    Good deal. :)

  2. Wow they were $200 when they first came out!? I didn't realize that. Geez! I had a friend who had the townhouse when I was little and I was SO jealous. Now, I'm not. LOL :)

I am really looking forward to figuring out how to work this into my stories. I think I may know... :)

  3. Congratulations to you!! I saw one at a thrift store a couple of years ago and I could just knock myself out for not purchasing it. It was only $15!! I felt at the time that it was too big and I had no space for it. My doll shopping buddy just so happen to stop by the same thrift store the next day and purchased...check this out "one of the two" that they had. The one she purchased was in better condition and she paid $25. Of course the other one was gone the following day.

  4. Wow! Congratz! I kinda want one but right now I have three houses and don't have the space for it. I would love to see pic of the inside! I saw a cruise ship the other week for $3.00 but just couldn't figure out how to use it or where to put it. BTW, I often use a sheet as a backdrop for photos of something that big. I hang it from chairs and it hides anything I don't want others to see!

  5. Georgia Girl- I have NEVER found this house in a yard sale, thrift store, or flea market. So to see two sounds so crazy to me!! lol

That's terrible that you weren't able to snag yourself one!! Maybe you will run into another one in the future. Thank you for commenting! :)

Ms. Leo- Thank you for the tip and I will keep it in mind next time I get too excited to clean up. lol :) I always wanted a cruise ship but I too haven't mastered how I would make that work. I pondered the idea of just building me one..?
And at your mention of wanting to see the inside I took pictures and blogged them! :)

Thank you so much for your comments and insight!
