I took the plunge!....Again!

I completed my first Barbie sized full facial re-paint yesterday. She was requested by the same client, and he wanted her to be done in the likeness of Effie Trinket of the Hunger Games series, or more specifically after the following picture.....

He plans to re-root her and give her the above hair style. Plus, he is going to get an outfit similar to the one above.  So, what you will see next is my "face-up"...

Again, the above is the only "in process" shot I took of her.  She was originally a Barbie Loves Frank Sinatra doll.

The finished face....(with flash)

A Side view...(with flash)
Front shot with her painted scalp (no flash)...

A side shot with painted scalp (no flash)...

This one was tricky because I had to create various techniques to get the look I was after.
He loves her and is looking forward to customizing her the rest of the way.

So, I'm not sure what my next full re-paint will be, but you can be sure I will share it here. (^_^)

    1. Thank you! :) I wasn't sure about the lips but I do like the technique of the lighter color blended out from the center.

  9. Hi , I love your repainting!(I'm a huge fan of Barbies and Hunger Games ) I would like to do my very first repainting and ask you some things :
    - What doll did you use (Brand, model )?
    - What do you use to repaint ? What kind of brush and paint ?
    - Are there any other things I need?
    Thank you in advance .
